An Iowa man was injured in a two-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 63 in Fillmore County Tuesday evening.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 2013 Volvo semi being driven by 56-year old Patrick John Nesler of Ostrander was traveling north on 111th Avenue at approximately 8:06 p.m. Wednesday evening, while a 2019 Ford F-150 pickup being driven by 75-year old David Maurice Demro of Ionia, Iowa was traveling east on Highway 63.  The State Patrol indicated that the two vehicles then collided at the intersection of the two roads.

Demro sustained non-life threatening injuries in the accident, and he was transported to Mayo Clinic/St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester for treatment, while Nesler was uninjured.  The State Patrol indicated that both parties involved in the accident were wearing their seatbelts, and Spring Valley Fire and Ambulance assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene Tuesday evening.
