LeRoy man sentenced to prison time on felony violate a no-contact order charges in Mower County District Court

A LeRoy man who pleaded guilty to a gross misdemeanor violate order for protection charge, and who also pleaded guilty to two felony violate a no-contact order charges stemming from incidents that occurred in LeRoy and in Mower County from November of 2020 to November of 2023 has been sentenced to prison time in Mower County District Court.

29-year-old Anthony Michael Rober Johnson was sentenced Tuesday to 364 days in jail for a gross misdemeanor charge of violating an order for protection stemming from an incident that took place in Mower County on November 29th, 2020.  Johnson was given credit for 126 days already served, and he was convicted on the charge on August 23rd, 2021 after pleading guilty the same day.

Johnson was also convicted and sentenced Tuesday to 23 months in prison for a felony charge of violating a no-contact order within 10 years of the first of two or more convictions stemming from an incident that occurred in LeRoy on April 18th, 2022.  Johnson pleaded guilty to the charge on October 24th, 2022, and he was also convicted and sentenced Tuesday to 26 months in prison for an additional felony charge of violating a no-contact order within 10 years of the first of two or more convictions stemming from another incident in LeRoy that took place on May 20th of this year.  Johnson pleaded guilty to the charge on August 10th, and Judge Jeffery Kritzer determined that Johnson will be able to serve the three sentences concurrently.

A felony charge for domestic assault against Johnson stemming from an incident that took place in LeRoy on April 3rd, 2022, misdemeanor charges for reckless driving and driving without a valid license against Johnson stemming from a traffic stop in LeRoy the following day, April 4th, a felony charge for violating a no-contact order within 10 years of the first of two or more convictions stemming from an incident that occurred in Mower County on April 19th, 2022, and an additional felony charge for violating a no-contact order within 10 years of the first of two more more convictions against Johnson stemming from an incident that took place in LeRoy on November 26th, 2022 were all dismissed with his guilty pleas.
