After a tough overtime loss in Glenville versus Glenville-Emmons Thursday night, the Lyle/Pacelli Athletics boys basketball team was tasked with traveling to Rushford to take on the Trojans of Rushford-Peterson, who were ranked No. 18 in the state in the latest Class A poll from the Minnesota Basketball News.  In a matchup of Section 1A teams, it was the Trojans drilling 13 3-pointers and forcing 29 turnovers on their way to a 91-58 win.

Dylan Christianson led LP in scoring Saturday with 22 points, Chase Bauer was also in double figures in scoring with 11 points, Landon Meyer, Marshall Burma and Andrew Fredrick all scored five points apiece, Isaac Nelsen and Leland Hicks each tallied four points apiece, and Isaac Small added two points in the loss.

Lyle/Pacelli is now 11-14 overall on the season, and the Athletics return to action at All Saints Arena Tuesday evening as they kick off a two-game homestand to wrap the the regular season versus Wabasha-Kellogg in a non-conference matchup, with tip-off at 7:15 p.m.
