MDH records one additional COVID-19 case in Mower County Thursday for cumulative total of 11,760

Mower County logged 11,259 confirmed and 501 probable COVID-19 cases Thursday for a cumulative total of 11,760 since the onset of the pandemic, up only one from Wednesday, according to statistics released Thursday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials added that the total number of positive cases, including reinfections for the duration of the pandemic now stands at 1,421,312, and 1,404,000 people in Minnesota have now been determined as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County confirmed 40,091 cumulative cases Thursday, a rise of 47 from Wednesday, Steele County recorded 10,239 cumulative cases, which was unchanged from Wednesday and Freeborn County reported 8,949 cumulative COVID-19 cases Thursday, up three from Wednesday.  Dodge County now has 5,616 cumulative cases, also up three from Wednesday and Fillmore County confirmed 4,691 cumulative COVID-19 cases Thursday, up one from Wednesday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 604 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Thursday for a cumulative total of 1,359,311, and they added that 17 additional COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the state from Wednesday to Thursday for a cumulative total of 12,225 since the onset of the pandemic. A total of 60,933 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 11,278 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
