Overby Orthodontics Prep Athlete of the Week named!

Congratulations to the first KAUS Overby Orthodontics Prep Athlete of the Week for the 2024 spring sports season, Kaydence Schaefer of the Austin Packers softball team!

Schaefer, an 8th grade pitcher for the Packers started her varsity career on a decided high note at the Packerdome Tuesday versus Section 1AAA rival Byron, as she gave up six runs, four earned, on seven hits, striking out six and walking six, plus she was 1 for 2 at the plate with a run scored and a walk as the Packers rallied with two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to knock off the Bears 7-6.  The Packers will look to Schaefer to help lead the way again Friday evening as they continue a season-opening five-game homestand versus NRHEG.
