Overby Orthodontics Prep Athletes of the Week named!

Congratulations to this week’s KAUS Overby Orthodontics Prep Athletes of the Week, Alayna Kennedy, Reese Norton and Gracie Greenman of the Ausitn Packers girls swimming and diving team!

Kennedy, a junior who excelled all season long in 1-meter diving capped off a fantastic season last Saturday at the State Class A Invididual  Meet at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center at the University of Minnesota Saturday by taking a state title back to Austin in the event with a final score of 432.45, just ahead of freshman Bailey Monette of Benilde-St. Margaret’s, who was second with a total of 430.40.  Norton, also a junior also capped off a stellar season Saturday by taking sixth in the event with a total of 350.00.  Greenman, a freshman, also competed at the State Meet for the Packers in the 100 backstroke, and Greenman earned a spot in the finals by swimming a time of 59.50 seconds in the prelminiaries on Friday.    Greenman then finished sixth in the finals Saturday with a time of 59.28 seconds.
