Plainview man sentenced to prison time on felony drug possession charge in Mower County District Court
A Plainview man facing a felony drug possession charge in Mower County District Court after fleeing from authorities in his vehicle on December 2nd, 2022 has been sentenced to prison time.
50-year old Chad Ralph Mussell, who is currently incarcerated at the Minnesota Correctional Facility in Lino Lakes was convicted and sentenced Friday to 18 months in prison for a felony 5th degree drug possession charge. Mussell was also convicted and sentenced Friday to 364 days in jail for a gross misdemeanor charge of DWI, operating a motor vehicle with the body containing any amount of Schedule I or II drugs. Mussell was given credit for 181 days already served, and Judge Kevin Siefken determined that Mussell will be allowed to serve the two sentences concurrently.
Mussell pleaded guilty to the two charges on Friday, and a felony charge for fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle, and gross misdemeanor charge for driving after cancellation, inimical to public safety in the case against Mussell were both dismissed with his guilty pleas.
