Brooks pleaded guilty to the charge on December 14th, 2023, and a felony charge for 3rd degree drugs, sale of a narcotic, plus a felony charge for being a violent felon in possession of a firearm stemming from a traffic stop performed by Austin Police on January 22nd, 2023 where Brooks was found in possession of loaded handgun were both dismissed with his guilty plea.
