Two additional COVID-19 cases recorded in Mower County Tuesday for cumulative total of 4,694

Mower County logged 4,567 confirmed and 127 probable COVID-19 cases Tuesday for a cumulative total of 4,694 since the onset of the pandemic, up two from Monday, according to statistics released Tuesday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials stated that 42,530 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and over 586,900 people have been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 13,330 cumulative cases Tuesday, up three from Monday, Steele County reported 3,936 cumulative cases Tuesday, a rise of five from Monday, Freeborn County confirmed 3,445 cumulative COVID-19 cases Tuesday, up one from Monday, Dodge County now has 1,863 cumulative cases, unchanged from Monday and Fillmore County recorded 1,570 cumulative COVID-19 cases Tuesday, also unchanged from Monday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 256 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Tuesday for a cumulative total of 599,477, and they added that there were 11 COVID-19 related deaths reported in the state from Monday to Tuesday for a cumulative total of 7,381 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 31,883 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 6,458 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
