Two people were injured in a one-vehicle, rollover-type accident on Interstate 35 in Freeborn County Thursday afternoon.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 1998 Ford Ranger pickup being driven by 79-year old Reed Holgate of Highland, California was southbound on Interstate 35 at approximately 1:33 p.m. Thursday afternoon when he lost control of the vehicle and rolled near milepost 4 in Freeman Township.

Both Holgate and a passenger in his vehicle, 57-year old Troy Reed Holgate of Sherwood, Oregon sustained non-life threatening injuries in the accident, and both were transported to Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Albert Lea for treatment.  The State Patrol noted that both men were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident, and the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office, the Glenville Fire Department, and Mayo Ambulance all assisted the State Patrol at the accident scene Thursday afternoon.
