Area boys basketball roundup from Monday evening

The Grand Meadow Superlarks boys’ basketball squad was looking for win number two in a row Monday evening at home versus Schaeffer Academy in the Southeast Conference, and Taylor Glynn tallied 27 points to help lead the way to a 62-50 Superlarks win.

Besides Glynn’s 27 points, Roman Warmka and Connor Munson each tallied 10 points, Jace Kraft contributed eight points and Jacob Kerrins added seven points for the Larks, who are now 2-5 in the Southeast Conference and 6-8 overall on the season with the win.

Grand Meadow is now off until Friday evening when they travel to Spring Valley to take on Kingsland, with the varsity tip-off at 7:15 p.m.

In Hayfield, the Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms were on the road for a Gopher Conference matchup with the Vikings, the No. 5 team in the state in the latest Class A rankings from the Associated Press, and it was Isaac Matti hitting three of Hayfield’s 11 3-pointers in the game on his way to 26 points, Easton Frichter scoring 18 points and Ethan Pack adding 15 as the Vikings downed the Blossoms 83-55.

Drew Kittleson tallied a double-double in the game for BP with 17 points and 10 rebounds, Colin Jordinson also scored 17 points and Zach Hein added eight points for the Blossoms, who fell to 2-6 in the conference with the loss, and 2-10 overall on the season.

Blooming Prairie is back on the road Thursday evening for their next game versus Faribault Bethlehem Academy, with the varsity tip-off that evening scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
