Austin man sentenced to supervised probation on felony criminal sexual conduct charge in Mower County District Court

An Austin man who raped a woman on May 2nd while she was intoxicated at a residence on the 800 block of 21st St. NE has been sentenced to supervised probation, time in the sentence to service program, plus fines and fees in Mower County District Court.

22-year old Daniel Jim was convicted and sentenced Thursday to 10 years of supervised probation, 100 hours in the sentence to service program and $1,160 in fines and fees for a felony charge of 4th degree criminal sexual conduct, victim mentally impaired or helpless.  A 24-month prison sentence was stayed for 10 years if Jim complies with the terms of his probation, and he first pleaded guilty to the charge on October 18th.
