Faribault man sentenced to prison time on felony drug possession charge in Mower County District Court

A Faribault man facing felony drug possession and gross misdemeanor DWI charges in Mower County District Court has been sentenced to prison time.

35-year old Bradley James Richards was convicted and sentenced Wednesday to two years in prison for a felony 5th degree drug possession charge.  Richards was also convicted and sentenced the same day to 180 days in jail for a gross misdemeanor charge of 3rd degree DWI, any amount of Schedule I/II drugs.  Richards was given credit for 180 days already served, and Judge Kevin Siefken determined that the two sentences can be served concurrently.

Richards pleaded guilty to the two charges Wednesday, and a misdemeanor charge for driving after revocation, plus petty misdemeanor charges for a small amount of marijuana and for possession of drug paraphernalia in the case were all dismissed with Richards’ guilty pleas.
