Jeff Carson, country music singer turned police officer, dead at 58

Jeff Carson has died of a heart attack at the age of 58, according to the singer’s publicist.

Carson acheived success on the Country Music charts in 1995 and 1996 with Top 10 singles “Not on Your Love”, “The Car”, and “Holdin’ Onto Somethin'”, all off his self-titled debut album.

In February 2009, he retired from the music business and joined the Franklin, Tennessee police force as a full-time officer.
