Man Steals Backhoe To Catch Flight

I know Ubers can be pricey, but this guy probably should have sprung for one . . .

A man named Timothy Baggott from southern Illinois stole a construction vehicle so he could make it to the airport for his flight.

He was caught because Airport officials noticed a backhoe parked in the airport lot and called police.

Also because security footage showed him arriving in the stolen backhoe, neatly pulling into a parking spot then calmly walking into the airport with a guitar on his back.

He stole it from a construction site and drove it 10 MILES to get there.

Cops tracked him down in Nevada because he had already caught his flight to the West Coast. Baggott is facing charges for theft in excess of $10,000.

The fiasco would’ve leveled up a George Jones moment but there wasn’t any word on alcohol being involved.
