MDH reports one additional COVID-19 case in Mower County Friday for cumulative total of 4,687
Mower County logged 4,560 confirmed and 127 probable COVID-19 cases Friday for a cumulative total of 4,687 since the onset of the pandemic, up one from Thursday, according to numbers released Friday by the Minnesota Department of Health. Health officials stated that 42,418 healthcare workers have now tested positive for the virus, and just over 583,000 people have been reported as no longer needing isolation.
Olmsted County reported 13,317 cumulative cases Friday, up ten from Thursday, Steele County recorded 3,922 cumulative cases Friday, up three from Thursday, Freeborn County confirmed 3,434 cumulative COVID-19 cases Friday, up three from Thursday, Dodge County now has 1,857 cumulative cases, unchanged from Thursday and Fillmore County recorded 1,569 cumulative COVID-19 cases Friday, up one from Thursday.
The Minnesota Department of Health reported 690 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Friday for a cumulative total of 597,731, and they added that 21 additional COVID-19 deaths were reported in the state from Thursday to Friday for a cumulative total of 7,354 since the onset of the pandemic. A total of 31,669 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 6,441 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
