The Minnesota Department of Transportation has announced that people who are traveling across Minnesota on Interstate 90 to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota will encounter construction work zones.
The annual motorcycle event in Sturgis, S.D., from Aug. 5-14 attracts thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts who ride or haul their motorcycles to the Black Hills of South Dakota.
For more information about the I-90 projects east to west, go to the MnDOT project websites:
- I-90 eastbound resurfacing west of Stewartville: Single-lane traffic in construction zone.
- I-90, South Dakota border to east of Beaver Creek: Reduced to a single lane in each direction, watch for closed ramps, Beaver Creek Rest Area closed.
MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
