Mower County records 4,707 cumulative COVID-19 cases for third straight day Monday

Mower County logged 4,577 confirmed and 130 probable COVID-19 cases Monday for a cumulative total of 4,707 for the third straight day, according to statistics released Monday by the Minnesota Department of Health.  Health officials stated that 42,818 healthcare workers in the state have now tested positive for the virus, and nearly 595,000 people have now been reported as no longer needing isolation.

Olmsted County recorded 13,387 cumulative cases Monday, up one from Sunday, Steele County reported 3,974 cumulative cases Monday, down one from Sunday and Freeborn County confirmed 3,469 cumulative COVID-19 cases Monday, up one from Sunday.  Dodge County now has 1,877 cumulative cases, which was unchanged from Sunday and Fillmore County recorded 1,574 cumulative COVID-19 cases, which was also unchanged from Sunday.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 118 positive COVID-19 tests in the state Monday for a cumulative total of 603,876, and they added that five additional COVID-19  tests were reported in the state from Sunday to Monday for a cumulative total of 7,517 since the onset of the pandemic.  A total of 32,420 COVID-19 patients in Minnesota have required hospitalization since the start of the pandemic, and 6,573 of those patients have required treatment in intensive care units.
