Overby Orthodontics Prep Athletes of the Week named!

Congratulations to this week’s KAUS Overby Orthodontics Prep Athletes of the Week, the Austin Packers boys basketball team!

The Packers, who finished the season with a record of 17-14 this week qualified for the state tournament for the 33rd time in the program’s storied history with a trio of wins in the Section 1AAA tournament over Albert Lea, Kasson/Mantorville and Winona, and it was the sixth straight appearance and ninth in the last 12 years for Austin in the section finals.  Austin’s berth in the state tournament was the school’s seventh since 2012, and that run of state tournament appearances have included back-to-back runner-up finishes in 2o13 and 2104, runners-up in 2017, sixth in 2018 and third in 2019.
