“Urgent” back surgery forces Mark Chesnutt to cancel Iowa and Wisconsin shows

Honky Tonk favorite Mark Chesnutt will undergo back surgery, forcing him to cancel upcoming concerts in the region.

“I hate to get off the road just as the venues opened back up. I was really looking forward to this year! I appreciate the support and understanding from my fans, and I’ll see you all real soon,” Chesnutt said in a statement.

Doctors told Chesnutt he could no longer put off back surgery. The “Brother Jukebox” singer says he’s been suffering from back pain for some time.

Chesnutt’s recovery will take 2-3 months forcing him to cancel all his concerts through September; including shows in Johnson Creek, Wisconsin and Spencer, Iowa.
