Monday marked the 30th drawing in a row in which nobody won the Powerball jackpot.
So, the prize for tonight’s drawing has grown to $454 million, according to lottery officials.
Believe it or not, that’s not even close to the largest jackpot ever. In 2016, three winners split a jackpot totaling $1.586 billion.
Even so, we could all probably think of a few ways to spend a cool half-billion dollars.
But while prize may be enormous, the odds of winning it are just as long. The odds of winning Powerball are 1 in 292 million.
